You’re Not Writing – Poem

You’re Not Writing
By Diana Arco

You’re not writing a poem.
Oh no, I know.
You’re writing yourself out,
Inside every word,
Expression from the being
And the truth
That the poet
Gives the freedom
To bring to earth.

You’re not writing a letter.
Oh no, that’s for sure.
Your heart squeezes
Every single word
For the soul,
In burning desire,
Is dictating every single layer
Of your own love
At its most purest form.

You’re not writing a quote.
Oh no, please.
You’re establishing
A home,
Where more than one can live,
For the eyes and ears
Can marvel with appreciation
To blow the voices
With strong determination.

You’re not writing a song.
Oh no, you’re definitely not.
Because you’re the music
Vibrating waves within,
Because you’re the lyrics
Splashing beyond
From what you think you knew
But today you’re already know.
For all this power
Of communication,
Get yourself together
To breathe the sound,
To take you away,
And never let you go.

Stand up,
And be proud,
For you’re not a writer
Who only writes bits
From here to there,
But one human being
Carrying a soul within
With love inspiration
That burst a whole galaxy
Of knowledge and free awareness to give.
