Day in  And  Day out

The beauty of that landscape,

I take my eyes to explore.

The music of the wind,

I let my ears to listen its tune.

The fragrances of the roses,

The grass, the wet dirt,

I take a deep smell.

All in my day in,

and day out,

Within myself.

So every time I wonder

Over the mirror of my own reflection,

In meditation I’am in search.

And my eyes are exploring

And my ears are listening

And my nose is smelling

And I’am touching and tasting

The best flavors ever.

But when I’am in ignorance

And I see a dark shaped figure,

I listen an out of tune note,

And I taste an unpleasant flavor,

I learn from my mistake,

And I’am bravely grateful

To continue my roaming steps.

Because the world, my world,

Myself… I’am…

This is just an amazing place to be for me.

Let It Be

I must say something

And this is the moment I breathe.

Oh, please,

Let it be, let it be.

If it makes you happy,

If this is for your highest good,

If the sun is shining on you,

And your true colors

Are shining in your maximum splendor…

Oh, please,

Let it be, let it be.

I don’t get it

You and your absurd old fashion convictions,

If you wish to continue

Living in the caveman era

If this makes you happy

Oh, please,

Let it be, let it be,

But don’t mess around

With someone else’s freedom

If you can’t hold it,

If you can’t stand it,

I beg you to ignore it.

Just listen clearly to this sentence,

Oh, please,

Let it be, Let it be.

Within My True Self

I’ve been receiving

The visit of my dearest friend

“The Silence”

And sometimes he comforts me

While others he makes me scream,

Me, a soul in need of answers,

“Silence” sometimes

It’s not good enough for me.

Where is the sound

I long to listen?

The one that could make

My skin to shiver,

Where is that affirmation

I need to embrace?

That “Yes”

I will gratefully take

Into my sacred place,

Where the labyrinth of my wonders

And despairs

Makes me travel deep inside

Within my true self.

My perception it’s what it is,

“My own”,

And without explanation,

Even to myself.

But for sure,

My dearest friends,

“Silence and Sound”,

I need you both today,

Always will,

And even beyond

My own existence.

“The Composer and The Flycatcher,” is my debut title. I deliver to you, my dear reader, this loving fantasy tale written entirely in poetry. All the characters are in search of light and love in their hearts. They seek unconditional love we are all meant to experience in life; namely, love for one another and love for life’s true calling.

This title is also about music, sounds, smells, and feelings within words. This is the place where words can really dance to your eyes. Each chapter has a title and introduction where I talk to you about “what’s coming next.” And, every chapter consists of five poems; each one weaving the entire tale.

About the Author: Diana Arco has been blessed with such amazing life experiences, like working as a Cultural Representative at Walt Disney’s World Epcot Mexican Pavilion. She also worked in a UK and USA Construction Company “Kier CCC Group” as the General Manager’s assistant.

Now she works in the show business as talent artist representative and booking live shows entertainment in México. But all the time she always kept alive a deep desire to share fantasy tales to readers. She felt in love with words at early age, especially poetry, the genre where she thinks “words are able to dance” just like that.

She kept writing, it took her a while, until she came up with her first book “The Composer and The Flycatcher,” where she found herself pleased because it’s a fantasy fairy tale, yes, but she took the freedom and the joy to write it in poetry.
