My Favorite Things – Poem

My Favorite Things
By Diana Arco

To all my favorite things
I thank you for your existence
Like those white candles
I enjoy watching burn
In meditation I open myself.
Like those incenses
I enjoy their fragrance
I let myself fall.

To all my favorite things
I embrace you dear.
Like the music my soul
Through my ears listen
And dance within.
Like the words from
Poets and their feelings
I feel related.

To all my favorite things
At my hand
I reach them and admire.
The beauty of mother nature
Around, outside, and beyond.
The threes, flowers,
The inviting grass.
Even the crystal sparkling quartz
I’ve been collecting for so long.

To all my favorite things
I thank my body
For I walk and enjoy
The wind touching my face
And the singing of the birds
In my company along the way.
Then the rainbow in the sky
Bright and clear.

To all my favorite things
I thank the pictures
I allow to keep
Those frozen moments
I bring to my present
And admired I contemplate
An achievement in my life.

To all my favorite things
I’am so grateful
For they’re so many
For this writing to mention
But I felt the need
To bring at lest some
Into the awareness
Of appreciation.

Grateful
