2017 – Ringing in the New Year!

Print
With the advent of a new year, sensibilities rise to the forefront of our mind. Perhaps more than a birthday, the new year sings its own reverie to get our ducks in a row, to begin again to tow the mark, bids us to turn the page and start anew. Yes, the new year taunts us to envision the horizon and see the future by improving our focus. The festivities are over – winter is settling in and she proves to be a preponderance of resolution our inner being innately underscores in its need for reparation toward the achievement of our newest creative seeds and their triumphant emergence in the springtime for summer’s consumption and fall’s exuberance.

As a fledgling entrepreneur / small business connoisseur, having experienced equally great successes and failures, it is time to embrace the season and refresh business acumen, ideologies and direction. It is time to take successes into the future, and to comprehend lessons-learned from entrepreneurial failures of the past, in order to benefit clients, customers, readers and authors universally in our future.

In order to enact benefits, change is required. So, throughout the month of January 2017, change is the plan of the hour. And, will be introduced as the month progresses to enrich government and commercial clients and customers, as well as literary and non-fiction readers and authors.

Both dpInk Company Ltd. and DonnaInk Publications, L.L.C. wish each of you happiness, prosperity, and health throughout 2017!

scattered diamonds

Poetry for the void

The moon scattered diamonds

across the ocean

it twinkled and winked on the tippy-tops of waves

and becomelost inside

her ravenous froth.

I play this dream

in reverse, don’t you know?

Love is the deepest

rabbit hole.

The Unpredictable Predictable

Wonderful poetics from Wade Lancaster.

Wade Lancaster

time exposed city

Your text entered into my eyes and rattled around like razor blades in my mind.

You Will Never Know The Book Of Life By Starting In The Middle

Fixing machines are predictable.
The solutions are always the same.
There is only so many causes.
This is what makes them predictable.
Fixing people are complicated.
The solutions are never the same.
There are to many causes.
This is what makes people unpredictable.

You love the feel of the machine.
The way it lets you control it.
How well you can predict it.
But you don’t know what makes it tick.
You hate the way people make you feel.
The way they control you.
How well they predict you.
But you know what makes them tick.

There is madness shared by two. (Folie a deux)
You are the human machine.
Some claim they have the solution.
There are only so many causes.

I Need You – Poem

I Need You

By Diana Arco

If I was able

To do all the things

Of the world

By myself,

Trust me that I would,

But as you and me

Already know

I cannot,

So I tell you today,

Like I told you before

And I’ll tell you tomorrow

As long as I live,

I need you,

I always have,

And I always will,

For actions were meant

To be made by you

And me.

Let us enjoy each other’s company,

Let’s have some fights,

Let us discover and learn,

Let us entertain our hearts,

Let’s overcome obstacles,

Let’s cry in each other’s arms,

Let us build such amazing adventures

You and I,

Because it is for sure

That when you really need me,

I also need you in my life.

Mutual Respect – Poem

Mutual Respect

By Diana Arco

There’s a vision of perfection

In each one of us,

If you don’t understand mine,

It’s ok, I’m not mad,

We’re not obligated

To embrace each other’s visions

But we’re together

In this path of mutual respect.

There’s this artistry in my veins,

I cherish it deep within me.

You don’t understand my needs

But I let you be

For our freedom’s sake that visit us

Every moment of our lives.

So I don’t beg for acceptation,

I don’t have to at all,

But in this mutual respect

We experience in our time,

You’ll do your thing

And I’ll do mine

For it’s in my nature

This need of artistry expression,

And it’s in your nature

When there’s something

You just can’t understand.

I’am far away of your reach today,

And still we’re friends.

But one thing for sure is,

That my door is always opened for you,

If my craft someday finds a home,

Right there, in your heart and soul.

This Road Of Mine – Poem

This Road Of Mine –

By Diana Arco

Guidance from the heart,

Mind, and soul.

I take all the notes

That I burn with inspiration,

I challenge with passion,

And I walk with love

This road of mine.

If I see you somewhere

And I have a good feeling,

I’d like to take your hand

And from our roads

Make our friendship.

If I see you somewhere

And I see you in pain,

I’d like to hold you dear

To let you know

The sun will meet us

Gladly to embrace us next day.

If I see you somewhere

And you steal my heart

And you become

The owner of my love,

Then our roads will be one

Where we’ll mix with our passion

All our aspirations and goals.

Oh, this road of mine,

How grateful I’am,

Truly and with all my being,

During my walks

For all the treasures

I’ve been able to find,

Some I collect,

Others I let go,

But my dearest knowledge

Will always be within me

No matter I go.

Giant Warrior – Poem

Giant Warrior

By Diana Arco

Giant warrior

Inside of me,

I’am letting myself win

Through another dream of mine

To fulfill.

Me, the adventurer,

Travelling within myself.

At this part of the creation

I call the universe

For true inspiration.

The heart

Of the optimistic,

Where time is not a bother

But a wise friend advising me.

And this excitement

I’ve been waiting to feel

For some years

It’s now present

Finally alive within me.

Another route

For me to try

And explore

At will.

Freedom is my purpose

And challenges my playground.

Not afraid,

Not alone,

Blessed me in all my roaming.

I walk, run, and take

Another leap of faith.

Magical Writing – Poem

Magical Writing

By Diana Arco

Magical writing

Where such illogical

Fantasy places

Are hiding a secret truth,

Within its tale sentences

Time is frozen

Into this capsule of virtue.

There’s clarity and expectation

To reach the last chapter,

While you read

You enjoy a nice cup of tea

And delight yourself

With your favorite sweet.

Magical writing,

Dancing words

To your eyes

And music’s beating

Of your heart

Right into your being.

There’s no philosophical

Misinterpretation,

Either a labyrinth

To get lost.

It’s such an amazing structure

That takes you

Where your reading belongs,

And time it’s not a waste

When you’re enjoying yourself

While you treasure

Inside its sentences

Such life’s experiences

Of light, life, love,

And freedom.

So In every turn

The magical writing

Takes you aboard.
