The Poet In Me – Poem

Flowers

The Poet In Me
By Diana Arco.

It’s always the same,
No matter the time
When the inspiration arrives,
And I make from a white page
My favorite place to hangout.

I’am not difficult with myself,
Either demanding a great deal when I write.
I just open my heart and soul
And words start to born
Out from the universal vocabulary of love.

I make a request with all my might,
And I send a prayer to the universe
So words will never come dry,
But with loving spontaneously
Like a smile and a kiss free given.

Then my dear gift, so divine,
I never stop to admire,
When it only takes me a while
To Pour myself to you like the rain
Right into your life.

If I only write for myself
How boring would it be,
So how exciting it is
To reach you and give pieces
From my own reality and dreams.

So there is always this road
Taking each word to its final destination.
The poet in me is delivering
No matter the circumstances.
And I feel welcome.

“All The Light, Life, Love, And Freedom From The Heart And Soul.”

When Love Knows – Poem

When Love knows
By Diana Arco.

From all the ways
Of showing affection,
There is one I take
As my own reflection.

From all the ways
Of saying “I Love You”,
There is one I breath
Deep into my soul.

Oh, please. Would you mind?
Don’t be too modest, my dearest one.
Love is the queen and king
That deserves all.

Best sunshines ever,
With all painted gifts in the picture.
A long walk under its magnificent sky,
Setting our hearts free when the wind blows.

Best moonlight serenates
As we, the spectators and participants
Of nightly creations
Are able to enjoy.

There isn’t the right moment,
It’s only when it happens.
And the welcome is inevitable
For two beating hearts.

There isn’t a dream,
Even a dream out of reach,
When your love knows
Exactly what it wants.

For we are what’s in the present,
The within and the above,
For we are aware of ourselves
For we are even more.

“All The Light, Life, Love, And Freedom From The Heart And Soul.”

Poetry Lover – Poem

Greetings, everyone!

Today’s post it’s a poem I wrote about one of my all time favorite topics… poetry, of course.

Happy Reading!

Poetry Lover
By Diana Arco.

Isn’t under any question
That I take the freedom to affirm
With all the power of my awareness.
I’am a poetry lover today
Like I was yesterday.

I really tried so hard
To love some other writing form,
I couldn’t find strength
To be unfaithful to my dear poetry,
The only one that makes my heart beat strong.

Of course I’am another avid reader,
I enjoy different types of expression,
But poetry is the one I write with my heart and soul.
That’s why I’am a poetry lover,
Faithful from hair to toes.

I praise as much as I like,
Proud and gentle,
And with truth in my words,
How my dear poetry is my baby,
Owner of my smile and thoughts.

I praise grateful
All those days and nights,
Full of inspirational adventures,
Where characters came alive
And the tale took shape.

I praise even with stubbornness
For all those negative factors,
Internal and external,
That came to haunt me to stop,
But they couldn’t made me fall into their dark ways.

I’am without any mistake:
A Poetry Lover, yes, me.
Embracing its lyrical presence,
Living its full adoration
Where my words freely dance.

I find sound and sense,
Unconditional love
And unchain imagination
In every single line of expression.
How amazing is this!

I even find my loved ones
When they send me their love
In their most loving poetry lines.
And I hold myself for a moment:
Now I know why they are part of my life.

So, there you have me,
This poetry lover,
Appreciating every single step of the road,
Every single obstacle, surprise, and joy.
Every word counts, of course, after all.

* Thank you so much for reading!*

What’s Your Writer’s Lucky Charm?

Greetings everyone!

I’m back with you again with a topic that I’ve been wishing to post, and now I feel this is a good day to do it. I’m talking to the writer in you; from the one who writes a love letter to the one who is a famous author. I know some authors and writers have a special “lucky charm” that they use to get inspiration, to feel themselves comfortable, to enjoy it while holding it and using it before, during, and after their writing’s time.

But, what’s a lucky charm?
Is an object, which upon possession provides a positive influence to the fortunes of a person, or set of persons.”

Hmmmm, ok, but, which kind of object?
It can be anything you feel comfortable with. I’ve heard of writers wearing a piece of jewelry, clothes. Others playing with toys. Also holding or having in view a favorite pen. I even heard about a writer who is always waiting to find a “feather” on the floor and that’s his sign to write a new book. I’ve heard about candles, incience, perfumes, etc.

When I wrote “The Composer And The Flycatcher” http://www.prlog.org/12280859-the-composer-and-the-flycatcher-book-cover-official-reveal.html I always felt the need to wear my favorite ring. It’s a Titanium Quartz Rainbow Druzy Ring. I just love it and I really enjoy wearing it. When I’ve got it in Las Vegas I’ve never thought about it’s meaning, I just felt attracted to it, and I bought it. Later I found out that my crystal ring is good to heal exhaustion, low vitality, and fatigue; aids in meditation, visualization, and feeling secure. And I just thought “Bingo!” it makes sense.

Diana Arco Titanium Quartz Rainbow Druzy Ring

Somehow I’am always called by all types of “crystals”, I even collect them in all sizes and shapes, and, of course, my room is full of them. All that comes from mother nature is always welcome in my life, my home, my sanctuary.
Now that I’am writing my new “Poetic Prose Adventure” I’am still wearing my ring, but I also have another “crystal”… it’s a heart shaped white calcite that I enjoy having it with me every where I go. It’s new, my Dad gave it to me few weeks ago. I entered to a crystal store and from all the items that were on sale and on display, this heart was the one I liked the best. Again, I wasn’t aware of it’s properties, I’ve just got it because I felt the need to. So I came home and opened my crystals and gems book. From all that it says, this is what it took me by surprise: “It also promotes creativity, imagination and increases prosperity. It’s also helpful in the lessening of fear and reducing stress. It can also be used to clear negativity in the environment, such as a room that it’s in.” And I said again: “Bingo! It makes sense!”
Also the heart it’s a symbol to make and give things with love.

So, what’s your lucky writer’s charm?

Sincerely,
Diana.

PS: Happy Writing!

My Valentine – Poem

Heart

One Poem To My Valentine.

There is such a wonder in the feeling,
My joy, my pleasure, my everything.
My Valentine is alive!
That’s my every day reality,
My beating heart is love in love.

So, every time I wake up and when I go to bed,
I send my prayers to the love I’am,
To the love I have, and…
Oh, My Valentine!
You’re always present within me.

I’m here with my sincere emotion,
No need for explanations.
Love is the best
In all possible and impossible ways.
There is no difference.

I’m here with my devotion,
No need for explanations.
Love is the best poetry
Inspiring me.
Yes, indeed.. your poet, your poem.

I’m here with all my heart and soul,
Feel my love
I let it flow.
Oh, My Valentine!
You’re my sun.

Diana Arco.

My Official Book Cover Reveal – “The Composer And The Flycatcher”

Greetings, everyone!

Finally the time has come for me to reveal the book cover of my debut title: The Composer and The Flycatcher.

Information taken from: http://www.prlog.org/12280859-the-composer-and-the-flycatcher-book-cover-official-reveal.html
“The Composer and the Flycatcher,” book cover official reveal

DonnaInk Publications, L.L.C. announces the official cover design for “The Composer and the Flycatcher,” a fantasy poetry – prose YA tale of Ms. Diana Arco a talented poetess from Mexico.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

“The Composer and the Flycatcher,” by Diana Arco
PRLog (Press Release) – Feb. 10, 2014 – ORLANDO, Fla. — Ms. Donna L. Quesinberry, CEO-President announced, impending release of a suite of poetry – prose literary titles in January of 2014. One of these impending titles, is Ms. Diana Arco’s title, “The Composer and the Flycatcher.” Each book’s cover design is representative of the author’s literary portrayal. For “The Composer and the Flycatcher, author Diana Arco shares her own illustrative designs. As an entertainment and talent agent, Ms. Arco arrives from Mexico onto the literary scene and her cover design for her impending release is her very own creation.

The cover design of “The Composer and the Flycatcher” features a vibrant composition of color, which is contrasted by blackened font and shadows where the protagonist lies. Through an internal creativity, Ms. Arco illustrates the most poignant and touching scene from her fantasy YA story on the cover.

Readers note an open window revealing a blue sky, where her title emits from. The sky delivers the author’s message of hope and its timely arrival. Diana intends for readers to gain insights and understanding regarding hope and the fact answers arrive when we need them the most. The Flycatcher, is featured in red and flies beneath the window having entered the protagonist’s home. He greets readers and the story’s characters with wide open wings, as if to say, “I am here! I have arrived! I can help and inspire you, no matter how insignificant I appear to you, I am able to achieve amazing things! All you need to do is listen to my song and hear the voice that reasonnates there. Allow me the opportunity to share my message . . . the message of the Flycatcher . . . it will be revealed.” Torn sheet music and notes are displayed to represent the Flycatcher as the story’s muse.

Bright reds, oranges and browns further illuminate the scene leading to white fog and shadows onto the back cover. This paints the mysticism of the tale and shares the songbird’s brave determination to traverse the gales of shadowlands in order to aid the story’s protagonist. Guido (the composer) is represented in black and surrounded by foggy mists . . . readers may ask, “Why?” The answer lies in the story of Guido, who is living a terrible reality until the Flycatcher flies through his window and shares his song of hope. Having lost the will to play his music and compose new works, Guido feigns as his talents appear lost and his inspiration gone. He appears in a void where no notes exist, until the Flycatcher makes his presence known and reignites his passion and creativity..

At the incarnation of the Flycatcher and his warbling, Guido raises a hand of acceptance in order to delve head-first into the mysticism of opportunity. He shines once again as a composer, playing his violin and creating new concertos. The Flycatcher serves as a transcendent muse for Guido, but at what cost? Readers must remember, ambiguity surrounds the Flycatcher and the dear Composer Guido remains in the dark or does he . . .

“Any form of literature is born not only to entertain, but also to share this truth: “All things are possible when we do them with love.” How many times have you told someone, “I Love You” through artwork, dancing, singing or the written word? It is my hope, “The Composer and the Flycatcher” ignites a flame in your soul for meditation and appreciation of the written word; I believe words dance freely and perfectly in every sentence of love. They are dancing free, but with perfect rhythm in each sentence of love . . . for each of us.” ~ Author Diana Arco, Mexico.

Poem: Is this universe inside the palm of the hand really mine?

universe in hand

Is this universe inside the palm of the hand really mine?
It is cause’ I feel its power running through my being.
And it took me some time to understand
When I don’t get it all.
Then as long as I continue living
There is always something else.

It’s the unstoppable heart beating fast
It’s the divine soul I have trapped inside this body
It’s the thought I collect and other times I create
It’s the conjunction of everything and nothing at the same
It’s this huge love that let me see clear and blind me as well
It’s my life itself inside the life of someone else
It’s to believe you’re taking some rest
And hiding from the world, you find out
You can’t hide from yourself.

The mark of the urgent movement is aiming at you
It has been always the same since the creation of all living
Even to take a break and watch the sunset it’s a gift
And to get rid of the old ways giving the welcome to the news
Being faithful to your self’s truth.
Then the water is always running through your fingers
And you don’t have to see it.
It’s the love pouring wild and free.

I thought I was living my life in a dream
I thought I was awake and perceiving
All I know is I ‘am here inside this bubble
Of majestic wonders,
This stage that God had created for me
To participate and experience reality.

And let me say I don’t know how to act
This comes out naturally without any effort by my part.
When I choose to cry I let my tears fall down through my cheeks
When I choose to laugh I smile first
When I need to express myself I open my heart
Then my mouth to let my voice out.
And so on and on…
My verbal and no verbal communication is always exposed.

But then I see around
And there’s so much ignorance.
Or we mature together or not
Without losing the children we all have inside.
But then I see those dark clouds and the thunder lights in the sky
I’m sure god is not playing in that playground.
And what about the earthquakes, and destructions,
The tsunamis, nature earth’s disasters?

When are you going to understand we are all connected one to another?
If you are not happy, the earth is not happy.
And she gets angry because you’re also angry.
When are you going to understand we are one,
And there is enough cake for each one of us to take a piece and enjoy?
When are you going to understand we are love,
And we are already in paradise when you wave it goodbye
Instead of giving its proper welcome?

Life is in constant movement
And we are its target.
What you think you call it
Good and bad the perception arrives
Without invitation and she knows how to handle it well,
Only if you let her.

Love is your constant company
Even if you have it prisoner with your no expression.
Nothing would understand better
When love is free and takes you
To those places you’ve seen only in your imagination.
