Figuring out the puzzle = You Are Not Alone.

Greetings, everyone!

I’ve been thinking a lot about these words:
“You Are Not Alone”
I know we are here doing always our best, even in our ignorance, to figure it out what is it that we really want to achieve in our existence. I bet sometimes you question yourself: What’s the purpose of my life? Why I’m here? I used to question these 2 big ones myself, for years. Then after lot of thinking and feeling, and experiencing, I know the answers are different and are the same ones, at the same time, for each one of us. Why it is different? You live your life in one country, one city, you speak a different language, you go out and search, discover. But, why it is the same? We all have the same goal: Live, Love, and Experience. But, what to live, to love, and to experience? oh yeah, another question… and there is only one word for an answer, and this one is “Choice”. That’s the beauty, the freedom… we always have a choice. But how to come up with this? Well, that’s something between you, your heart, your soul, your consciouness, because you can’t navigate the waves of the ocean without a map, well, even with a map you could get lost, lol, but it’s ok to get lost from time to time, you’ll get the chance to discover and experience more.
I’ve understood that once the choice is made it’s when you already have that beautiful picture in your mind, in your heart, but you gotta breake it all into pieces first, having them all together into a big puzzle, so you can be able to manifest it in your reality. Why to break your beautiful picture into pieces? Why to create a puzzle from an image already made it inside of yourself? Those pieces are all those necessary steps you need to make it come true.
So, there you are before your puzzle; holding those small and heavy pieces to deal with, but, oh no, surprise… you find out that you can’t do this by yourself. This is when you start to search people with knowledge, skills, experience that are going to aid you spiritually and physically to achieve your dream because they are going to feel connected with you and your dream will become theirs too. When you open yourself to life and love, without doubts and fears, when you are so sure about what’s that you really want, and you accept yourself for who you are, it’s when you transmit that energy into others.
You’ll see yourself, in a matter of time, working with your key people (I call them “Soul Connections”). Each one of them holding that piece of the puzzle to put it in its right place.

Greetings, everyone!

Well, you are looking at these 3 pictures that I have attached to my today’s post.
This beautiful and colorful flowering plant it’s outside my office, in the parking lot area.
This image it’s something “Amazing!” that I see every single day, except the weekends, lol. But the big question in here is that we (me and all the people from the office) don’t have any idea how this flowering plant ended up right there. If you can see, the plant it’s coming out from a rainwater pipe. This is such an unusual place for a mother nature’s plant to live, you know.

So I felt the need to share this “miracle” with you today with a true message…

“The light, life, love, and freedom in all of us, our beings, our hopes, wishes, and dreams, will always find the way “to exist, to manifest themselves” when there is no doubt, no fear in your heart and soul. No matter who you are, what you look like, where you are, where you came from; you’ll always succeed when you believe and trust.”

The journey of my first manuscript. Sharing the experience!

Greetings, everyone!

Well, like my father told me some time ago. If you are afraid, why don’t you stay under the bed and live your life from there? and I went…”Oh, oh, oh!” “That’s rude, dad!”
Then he said, firm and kind: “When you really wish something in your life, you just go for it.”

Dad came up with the following words that really made an impact in my life: If you want to be an astronaut, what are you going to do? Of course, send a letter to the NASA. And what the NASA is going to answer to you? – if you get an answer in first place. You have 3 options in here… you could receive a “No” or “Thank you for your interest, maybe we’ll get in contact with you later.” or “Welcome! Congratulations! You’ve been accepted to participate in our project” My Dad uses the astronaut’s example because they are the ones who, literary speaking and technologically achieved, have been able to travel beyond the earth.

So, I received and understood this knowledge, and I said… “My astronaut is to be a writer! and I’m going for it!”
It took me some weeks to make up my mind and choose “my tale” from all those ideas I’ve been writing for years in pieces of paper and in my journals. It’s my first shout, my introduction letter, my #1, my unborn baby inside my belly… the doubt got inside my head, the fear to be judged too… I really got confused. But I took a deep breath, and I said to myself “No worries, I free myself from them, and I’m going to enjoy this process… my own writing process.” I chose what my own inspiration, love, and feelings asked me to. So, it took me months to write my first draft, then it took me some other time to edit it. I spend days and nights in my room and in my favorite restaurants, writing, creating, describing, placing and deleting words. Enjoying, excited, the process of making my dream come true. Then finally I had my manuscript ready “The Composer and The Flycatcher” my fantasy tale written in poetry prose. “It’s time to find a home to my tale – my first manuscript.” I said with hope, knowing how competitive it’s the field of the writing world.
What came next? I’ve experienced “rejections” from publishers and agents… Oh My! Should I go under the bed now? -I asked to myself. Of course not! Don’t you dare to quit now, you’re just starting! And then, finally, I was able to find my other half, my publisher.
I thought to say to my father “Dad, The NASA has accepted me and I’m going to sign the contract.” “I’m going to the moon!” lol, but no… Me and my family celebrated at home that night with wine, cheese, and bread.

Miss Quesinberry, you’re such an amazing lady who gave me the welcome into your publishing house. I’m so grateful with you for believing in my talent, in what I wrote… my first manuscript, my poetry, my fantasy tale. http://www.prlog.org/12144423-donnaink-publications-signs-author-diana-arco-and-her-title-the-composer-and-the-flycatcher.html My home!

So, the journey continues… I’m coming back later as I continue living my writer’s experience.

Your writing flavors – Experiencing your attitudes when you write.

Greetings, everyone!

Yep, it’s such a cute picture the one with the kitty and that yummy sweet and cold ice… I feel myself mouthwatering now.. lol.
This gave me the idea to talk to you about us- Writers – and our writing attitude, which I’am taking the freedom to call it “Flavors”.

I wonder if you ever thought about this before. Writing it’s like food that we all writers taste when we write. It’s our attitude the one we are tasting -experiencing- when we are sharing our emotions through words in a love letter, or when we are narrating an important event in our lives, also when you write a fantasy tale, a novel, etc. Everything we write has its right moment to manifest itself from inside to take it outside of each one of us.

In my own experience, I always enjoy my sweet flavors. It’s when the inspiration arrives and I’m so happy that I write for hours and hours because I’am loving, enjoying, the piece I’am working on. It’s my sweet cotton candy, my vanilla ice cream, my cherry lollipop, my hot chocolate time.
But, what to do when my attitude is “Bitter”, “Sour”, or “Salty”? Sometimes I can even use these attitudes in my writings. I write fantasy poetry, I know exactly what I want. When I get the idea for a tale, I see it all in my mind, like a movie, and I write my synopsis, the biography of each one of my characters, and a list of possible chapters and its descriptions. It’s what I call “The Skeleton” of my tale.
So, if my attitude is bitter, I can jump right away to my villain and continue writing my piece. Directing this bitterness right into my character… but when sometimes I can’t do that, I just stop writing my piece and I open my personal journal. I ask myself “Why -in my ignorance – I’am letting the bitterness get into my heart?” “How this started?” “Who else is involved?” I write, I experience, and I let all that bitterness out…I find my answers in myself…It’s just me the one dealing with this moment. I also talk to my loved ones and friends (especially the ones involved in my present situation to get answers from them and writen them down too) Sometimes I listen to my favorite music, watch inspiring movies on tv, or videos in http://www.youtube.com/… it’s a treasure to search for me; reminders about all the blessings we have in life. I can go outside to walk…of course with paper and pen with me (no matter where I’am, what I’am doing…paper and pen are a must have) while I’am waiting for the inspiration to arrive again to continue enjoying my sweet flavors.

To be that “goose”!

Greetings, everyone!

When I found this picture on the internet I knew I had to share it with you here in my blog.
It’s so funny, but at the same time it gave me the freedom to think “I wish to be that “goose”! It seems he is the successful one, the soul of the party, the leader, and all the rest of the gooses are on their way to meet him! lol. He is the one who thought “outside the box” and he is enjoying his sucess. You can look at his big smile and how he is posing to the camera.
Let’s say this goose it’s that successful writer we all wish to be, ( yes, and I include myself since I’am a debut author about to get published late fall this year with my fantasy poetry prose tale “The Composer and The Flycatcher” http://www.prlog.org/12144423-donnaink-publications-signs-author-diana-arco-and-her-title-the-composer-and-the-flycatcher.html ) and all those gooses are his readers.
This goose is J.k Rowling ,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._K._Rowling, Dan Brown http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Brown, Stephen King http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_King, he represents all those famous bestseller authors that you enjoy to read, and now that you are writing, that you have decided this is what you wish to do with your life, that you are on your way to get published, that you experienced publishers’ manuscripts rejections – like they did- (if you haven’t experienced rejections yet – get ready – https://authordianaarco.wordpress.com/2013/06/21/my-poem-mr-rejection-about-manuscript-rejections-of-course/) Then you finally found a publisher, and you signed the contract, and you are working with the editors, the cover artists, and you are coopeating, working with all the publisher’s team… Meanwhile, you are meeting fellow writers with years of experience, also people who are starting to write, you are paying attention to what book lovers are reading, you are thinking also about to join writer’s organizations, and you have the support of family and friends thanks to the social media (Facebook, twitter, linkedIn, Pinterest, Glooge+…) and there you are sharing, giving, “Promoting” yourself as a writer and your title…your title and you as one. And I say “Whoa!!! It’s a whole and long adventure in here! There is too much to do and to be done!” But in my experience I’m so happy for doing this, I’m grateful, and I’am opened myself to what’s next, for all the surprises that are on my way and also the challenges, because in any life’s situation to get to the top it’s not a piece of cake, it’s hard work from all people involved, patience, and to be “sure” this is what you really wish to do because at the moment of doubts you’re building walls in your way that are blocking you to get yourself to be “That Goose.” Yep, this one that’s smiling and telling you “Look at me, I did it… now it’s your turn!”

What’s your box of dreams fill with?

Greetings, everyone!
Have you heard about “the box of dreams”?
It’s that special box where you keep those objects that represent something important to you in your life, like:
– Pictures: those moments from the past.
– A wish to make it come true: that magazine’s article about Paris France. The place you wish to visit.
– Handwriting cards: With you favorite quotes for inspiration.
– Concert tickets: Finally your favorite band went to play to your town, so you and your friends had a blast dancing and singing that night.
– Those ‘jewels” of sucess: A pin from the company you work with. That silver pen with your name on it that your boss gave you in your birthday. Your first business card. The first bill you touched and decided to keep from your first paycheck. Your name tag.

It’s your own treasure chest to enjoy it at home. It’s that journal where the objects speak to you for themselves, the ones that makes you smile. It’s practically ‘your life” in there.

I have my own box for 15 years. It’s musical box with “Thinkerbell”. I love to open it from time to time and listen to “You Can Fly”. I bought it when I was working at Disney as a cultural representative from México in Walt Disney World Epcot Mexican Pavillion.
I have another box where I keep my notes with ideas, poetry and drawings. I have it under my bed.

For me, in my own way to perceive this activity is:
You’re practically taking your dreams “out of the box”… all of them when you hold them in your hands. When you feel them in your heart and soul, all that light and powerful emotions that are awaking in yourself, and you are experiencing in your life.

I gotta tell you something: You know it’s true, when you are enjoying something special in your life it’s a dream come true. So keep dreaming and doing anything you can to keep enjoying this amazing life that we have and that it worths every single breath of our existence, my friends.

Poem to “Mr. Ignorance” and “Mr. Knowledge” as characters.

Greetings, everyone! 🙂

I’m back to you today with a new poem.
This one is about “The Ignorance” and “The Knowledge”, but here you have me transforming them into characters, ghosts.
One is the shadow that is always haunting, and the other is the light that is always embracing.

So, you can take this poem of mine like it was a short tale that I’am taking the freedom to share with you today.

Mr. Ignorance
And
Mr. Knowledge.

Here you are both of you
Floating invisible right by my side,
Like two ghosts fighting against each other.
One of you haunts me without mercy,
The other embraces me with all the light of the world.

Here you are both of you.
Since I go to bed at nights
When I wake up in the morning
And between time.
You are waiting for the right moment to act.

Mr. Ignorance,
That’s your name.
You are just using all that you can
To make me fall into your cloak and dagger hands.
I just can’t avoid your mysterious ways.

Mr. Knowledge,
That’s your name.
You are my perfect and well dressed heroe,
The one embracing me with encourage eager,
Taking me to the truth in my existence.

So I can see… This is the eternal battle
Between two powerful enemies.
Mr. Ignorance is not a bliss for me.
Mr. Knowledge is the one my heart is beating for
To win the situation when the time is here.

But, they can’t deny one truth.
They are those eternal friends
Depending one on the another.
Without ignorance there will not be any knowledge.
How could I solve each puzzle?

So, I thank you both of you,
My dear gentlemen.
I owe you my tears and my smiles.
You both affect directly into my heart and soul
Every time I got myself into a new phase in my life.
