2017 – Ringing in the New Year!

Print
With the advent of a new year, sensibilities rise to the forefront of our mind. Perhaps more than a birthday, the new year sings its own reverie to get our ducks in a row, to begin again to tow the mark, bids us to turn the page and start anew. Yes, the new year taunts us to envision the horizon and see the future by improving our focus. The festivities are over – winter is settling in and she proves to be a preponderance of resolution our inner being innately underscores in its need for reparation toward the achievement of our newest creative seeds and their triumphant emergence in the springtime for summer’s consumption and fall’s exuberance.

As a fledgling entrepreneur / small business connoisseur, having experienced equally great successes and failures, it is time to embrace the season and refresh business acumen, ideologies and direction. It is time to take successes into the future, and to comprehend lessons-learned from entrepreneurial failures of the past, in order to benefit clients, customers, readers and authors universally in our future.

In order to enact benefits, change is required. So, throughout the month of January 2017, change is the plan of the hour. And, will be introduced as the month progresses to enrich government and commercial clients and customers, as well as literary and non-fiction readers and authors.

Both dpInk Company Ltd. and DonnaInk Publications, L.L.C. wish each of you happiness, prosperity, and health throughout 2017!

I Need You – Poem

I Need You

By Diana Arco

If I was able

To do all the things

Of the world

By myself,

Trust me that I would,

But as you and me

Already know

I cannot,

So I tell you today,

Like I told you before

And I’ll tell you tomorrow

As long as I live,

I need you,

I always have,

And I always will,

For actions were meant

To be made by you

And me.

Let us enjoy each other’s company,

Let’s have some fights,

Let us discover and learn,

Let us entertain our hearts,

Let’s overcome obstacles,

Let’s cry in each other’s arms,

Let us build such amazing adventures

You and I,

Because it is for sure

That when you really need me,

I also need you in my life.

Magical Writing – Poem

Magical Writing

By Diana Arco

Magical writing

Where such illogical

Fantasy places

Are hiding a secret truth,

Within its tale sentences

Time is frozen

Into this capsule of virtue.

There’s clarity and expectation

To reach the last chapter,

While you read

You enjoy a nice cup of tea

And delight yourself

With your favorite sweet.

Magical writing,

Dancing words

To your eyes

And music’s beating

Of your heart

Right into your being.

There’s no philosophical

Misinterpretation,

Either a labyrinth

To get lost.

It’s such an amazing structure

That takes you

Where your reading belongs,

And time it’s not a waste

When you’re enjoying yourself

While you treasure

Inside its sentences

Such life’s experiences

Of light, life, love,

And freedom.

So In every turn

The magical writing

Takes you aboard.

“All The Light, Life, Love, And Freedom From The Heart And Soul.”

Those Voices – Poem

Those Voices

By Diana Arco

I’ve shared farewell tears

For those amazing voices

No longer alive.

But I listen to their music,

I read their poetry,

I read their fantasy books,

Their classic horror novels,

And among other adventures.

So it’s their legacy

Always present

The one I enjoy,

And others,

Who are younger,

Take the chance

To discover

And learn from.

So within my own world,

I take the freedom to wish

For one day to arrive

When I’ll join

Those voices myself.

Me, another poet

From a long list of authors,

With humble knowledge

Of love

It’s waiting in line

For her turn.

But this is just a wish,

For my voice is strong today

And enjoying the list

Of authors

Working their way through

This vast literary land.

Used To Bother Me – Poem

Used To Bother Me

By Diana Arco

I never thought

I could quiet my own mind.

So noisy I was,

I couldn’t  put myself off

Until falling asleep at nights.

But today

It’s a new light

In this room of my life,

Where thoughts

Don’t push against each other

To get their first chance.

So my silence

Fits alright,

And for those precious moments

I meditate my own self.

Then I invite my thoughts

To listen carefully.

When I prioritize

With my love’s understanding,

I don’t feel

The pressure

That used to bother me.

I Always Find You – Poem

I Always Find You

By Diana Arco

I always find you

In my favorite song.

In my mind

I picture you

With all my love.

I always find you

With the full moon,

And the sun

At mornings,

Drinking my tea,

I wonder about you.

I always find you

Within my soul,

So grateful

I open my home

For you.

There’s this feeling

I’am accepting with joy,

This love

That for you I have.

So,  I always find you

Close to me,

Cause’ you live within me

No matter where you are.

About The Book – PoemCar

About the book

By Diana Arco

You hold a book in your hands,

And feel its weight,

Smell its pages,

Delight yourself

With the cover

And its colors.

You read the synopsis of the title

And the author’s biography.

You  take a deep dive

Into its chapters,

The words,

The paragraphs,

Every single sentence…

Until the history

Captures you

Into such amazing world.

But, what about the book?

Since its conception

In the mind, heart, and soul

Of its author,

To the manuscript.

The rejections from

Literary agents

And publishers,

Until finding its right place

Into the world.

From the bookstore,

The internet,

To your hands.

I’am grateful with you,

For giving a book

A space in your home.

Day In And Day Out – Poem

Day in  And  Day out

By Diana Arco

The beauty of that landscape,

I take my eyes to explore.

The music of the wind,

I let my ears to listen its tune.

The fragrances of the roses,

The grass, the wet dirt,

I take a deep smell.

All in my day in,

and day out,

Within myself.

So every time I wonder

Over the mirror of my own reflection,

In meditation I’am in search.

And my eyes are exploring

And my ears are listening

And my nose is smelling

And I’am touching and tasting

The best flavors ever.

But when I’am in ignorance

And I see a dark shaped figure,

I listen an out of tune note,

And I taste an unpleasant flavor,

I learn from my mistake,

And I’am bravely grateful

To continue my roaming steps.

Because the world, my world,

Myself… I’am…

This is just an amazing place to be for me.

Let It Be – Poem

Let It Be

By Diana Arco

I must say something

And this is the moment I breathe.

Oh, please,

Let it be, let it be.

If it makes you happy,

If this is for your highest good,

If the sun is shining on you,

And your true colors

Are shining in your maximum splendor…

Oh, please,

Let it be, let it be.

I don’t get it

You and your absurd old fashion convictions,

If you wish to continue

Living in the caveman era

If this makes you happy

Oh, please,

Let it be, let it be,

But don’t mess around

With someone else’s freedom

If you can’t hold it,

If you can’t stand it,

I beg you to ignore it.

Just listen clearly to this sentence,

Oh, please,

Let it be, Let it be.

Yellow – Poem

Yellow

By Diana Arco

I was searching for yellow,

I had to have yellow,

So, I found yellow

As handsome and free

As he could be.

I’ve made myself his friend,

Of course,  I had to.

I won his trust in a summer’s morning chat,

And since then

He wakes up my smiles.

I admire its warm and clean brightness

All over me,

Specially towards my face.

I’am grateful to say,

Yellow is in love with me

Because I shine as much as him,

Strong, persuasive, passion love,

Yellow is everything to me.

Oh, and my dear Yellow

Is my hero.

He pushes the clouds away for me

So I can meet him.

I’m glad I’ve found yellow,

You know…

“I Love You, My Dear Yellow,

With all my heart and soul.”
